Who We Are
Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Dulwich / Herne Hill area, Under the Willow welcomes families with open arms to our nurturing haven for children aged 0 to 5 years. Established in 2012 by a very dedicated local owner, amidst a picturesque, leafy backdrop, our nursery underwent an exciting transformation in 2018, evolving into a Montessori-inspired sanctuary.

Open 50 Weeks Of The Year
With opening times from Monday to Friday, 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., spanning 50 weeks a year (excluding public holidays), our purpose-built, eco-friendly premises offer a warm and inviting atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and ample outdoor space, children delight in year-round play amidst nature's embrace.
A Happy Montessori Environment
Dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience, we've equipped our nursery with a diverse array of Montessori materials, ensuring each child receives the highest quality of learning and care. Through informative parent evenings, we keep families abreast of Montessori principles and developments, witnessing remarkable progress in just a few short months.
Laughter & Learning
At Under the Willow, our passionate team of qualified educators fosters a joyful, nurturing environment, where every day is filled with laughter and learning. With a curriculum tailored to the unique needs of infants, toddlers, and young children, our enriching activities encompass dance, sport, music, art, and outdoor adventures.
Fresh Locally Sourced Meals
Our dedicated full time chef prepares fresh, locally sourced meals daily, ensuring dietary needs are met with care and attention. As a nut-free zone, we prioritize the health and well-being of every child, accommodating various dietary preferences with ease.
Sustainability
An eco friendly nursery school that reduces it’s environmental impact and promotes sustainability. We use a heat pump for hot water and heating. Our rainwater goes into a soak away. We reuse, repurpose and repair nursery items. Rubbish and food waste recycling. We use GreenBottoms for nappy recycling. We believe that encouraging young children to care for the environment can influence the way future generations will live on our planet.
